Programme Overview

The objectives of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (E-Learning) are to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding to enable them to apply the technical and managerial skills involved in supervising others, contributing to the wider strategy of the organisation or department.

This focused course explores many of the key areas of business, including:

• the main principles and practices of contemporary management and organisational behaviour
• financial decision-making in the short and long term
• micro- and macro-economics and their relevance to managerial decision-making
• theories of leadership and how they apply in practice
• the key concepts that underlie marketing and how to develop a strategy
  
  

Module information and delivery

The programme consists of 6 modules covering:

• Financial Decision Making (20 credits)
• Leadership Theory and Practice (20 credits)
• People, Work and Organisations (20 credits)
• Strategic Marketing (20 credits)
• Strategic Risk Management (20 credits)
• Operations Management (20 credits)

The programme is delivered over 9 months (for Full-time) and 12 months (for Part-time).

Assessment & Examination

Students are assessed with a mixture of continuous assessments throughout each module in the form of case studies, discussions, presentations, group and individual assignments, and theory tests.

In the event where a student fails a module, the student will be given a chance to resubmit their project, assignments, essays. If the student fails the resubmission, the student would need to retake the entire module (‘re-module’). Students are allowed to ‘re-module’ twice in their course of study.
 

Graduation Requirements

Students must complete 120 credits to graduate from the course. Successful candidates will be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (E-Learning) issued by London Graduate School
